12. brainstorming

Image
-- brainstorming. Whew! Okay, settle in because this is gonna be a long blog, my groupmates and I have wayyyyy to many ideas to even cover, but I’ll do my best to stay on the topic of what the main talk is about. Today we’re going to talk about brainstorming, specifically about the ideas that are kind of circling around for what this blog is all about, documenting my journey in creating a glorious, absolutely showstopping and epic movie introduction!   First off, I want to refresh your mind on who is in my group. If you want to know all the details, refer to this blog post here! ˊ ᗜ ˋ   My group consists of these lovely ladies:  gia, minh from mylittleworkshop.blogspot.com, and thu! Now, ever since I started this little journey of mine, I’ve had this idea of what I wanted to do. Call me crazy, but it came to me in a dream, and I literally woke up like “I will never forgive myself if I don’t try this.” It was after my 17 th birthday; I had a dream about a movie...

11. former student work

-- former student work. heyo! for today's blog post i've been assigned to go back and watch some former student's work and analyze it a little bit. at the beginning of the year my class was shown an example that i honestly really liked, and its stayed in my head ever since i saw it. so, i was obviously pretty excited to get the chance to see even more beautiful projects! we've got quite a bit to get through so i wont bore on an on with an introduction. lez get it! roll call. right off the bat i was pretty impressed. i liked the way that the credits were introduced, it was cool that they had the police lights on the car! i could tell right off the bat that there was effort put in, and it also helped establish the type of movie that it would be. setting it at nighttime also helped add to that sense of mystery, it very much felt like i had just started watching an episode of criminal minds. apart from that, i also liked how they introduced the actors. it felt pretty creati...

UNDER CONSTRUCTION 10. group members woooo! let's talk group members. obviously i can't pull this off alone, and it's always better to work with friends, so today i'm gonna be introducing the lovely ladies i have come together with to work on this project. there will be links to each of their blogs and introduction posts, in the case that they spark your interest and you want to see more. without further ado, let's get into the who's and the why's!! mylittleworkshop also known as... minh! i chose to work with minh because, like the rest of our group members, we are good friends, and we've already worked together on past projects! aside from last year, when we did two projects for the end of the year in our english class, we had also worked together the year before that with another group to create a rendition of macbeth. i knew we would click and be able to get past any disagreements just fine, so she seemed like an obvious choice for a groupmate. click...

09. storyboard

Have you ever had one of those moments where you discover that something you’ve been doing for a while is actually a real thing? Yeah, that just happened to me with discovering storyboarding. for ages, I have drawn out scenes or specific things to inspire me whenever I’m writing a story, and (of course, its not the EXACT same thing as storyboarding for a movie) it’s similar enough that I instantly sat up in my seat when I found out that this was what the next blog post would be about. I LOVE drawing (do NOT ask me if im good at it, because I refuse to answer), and I also really really love visualizing scenes. Its perfect. I learned, though, that it doesn’t matter how pristine and polished your drawing is. Whenever I used to do it, I’d always stress over making it look accurate to what was in my mind while also including the most amount if detail that I could. But that’s not at all the case! Storyboarding, like many other things, is something that should only be for you and your te...
