10. group members

woooo! let's talk group members. obviously i can't pull this off alone, and it's always better to work with friends, so today i'm gonna be introducing the lovely ladies i have come together with to work on this project. there will be links to each of their blogs and introduction posts, in the case that they spark your interest and you want to see more. without further ado, let's get into the who's and the why's!!

also known as... minh! i chose to work with minh because, like the rest of our group members, we are good friends, and we've already worked together on past projects! aside from last year, when we did two projects for the end of the year in our english class, we had also worked together the year before that with another group to create a rendition of macbeth. i knew we would click and be able to get past any disagreements just fine, so she seemed like an obvious choice for a groupmate.

fashion queen

this fashion icon is gyongy, but you'll often see me refer to her as gia. gia was actually my first pick in a way, since we were the first ones to exchange ideas and brainstorm a little on what we would like the final project to be about. we share a lot of the same interest and ideas, so i knew right away that we would work really well on this project. she's also really creative, she does art and she's got a great imagination and eye for the little things in life.

and, last but certainly not least, thu! she was also a really easy choice to make. having seen her in action, i knew thu would be the driving force in getting this project done. it's good to have teammates who you know have similar ideas as you, but you can't get anywhere without having someone who will keep your mind open. not only is thu an absolute powerhouse when it comes to making sure we're all doing what we're supposed to do and being where we need to be, but she also brought in new ways to look at the project. i know i can rely on her to keep us humble and from thinking too big. like disney+ series percy jackson said, you want someone who wont hesitate to push you down the stairs if the success of a mission requires it.

08. mise en scene for today’s blog post, I will be analyzing the scene composition of (obviously, I mean this is a no brainer)... now, before we do that, we must first describe what exactly mise en scene is. according to my research 🤓☝️, mise en scene is a French term that refers to the many elements that make up one scene. This includes things such as lighting, the positioning of actors in the frame, costumes, the way the set is staged, anything that the camera’s view touches. i hope you processed that, because we're gonna dive right into it. now, the obvious thing that stands out about the mise en scene in barbie is, obviously, the set dressing. the props in the movie often look plasticky, and in some of the scenes they're actually just stickers! 44. final project! I wanna thank the academy, I wanna thank my mom, my dad, my bed…   No, but seriously, it’s been a long road to get here, so I’m excited that the final project is here! We had some hiccups along the way and she was a very stressful delivery, but we are here nonetheless. There’s not much to say here, but I will add in a couple of disclaimers and extra things. So don’t worry, you’re not missing anything too important (I know you just wanna watch the video, not read me talk endlessly like always)   DISCLAIMER: For educational use only!   The song at the beginning of the opening was done by me!
