15. mood board.

15. mood board. wooooo! okay, so, it was a bit of a rough ride (not really im just dramatic) but here's the mood board for our project! its just a general idea, so it might change a little as we go, but its a good starting point. here it is! now that you know what it looks like, take a second to really analyze it... think about what each thing could mean. ... .... okay thats enough time. lets get into it! one of the first things you may notice (because it really pops out against the background) is the birthday sash! as you already know because you obviously read my brainstorming blog (please say yes), our film centers around a girl's first birthday without her mother. that was one of the first things we wanted to represent with that, and with the other pictures of a party and cake. specifically, i added a picture of melanie martinez's "pity party", a song which talks about celebrating your birthday alone. i really felt like it related to the film, and if i was the...

14. final project idea

14. final project idea helloooooooo everybody and welcome back to film theory! ...no? okay. but seriously, welcome back! today's blog post is very exciting, because we are gonna be discussing the final project idea! now, i dont think this is gonna be very surprising but we did end up going with the idea that i had previously talked about in  this  blog! ^^  we've developed it a little bit over time, though most things have largely stayed the same. for example, the film opening is still gonna follow the same kind of protagonist, the plot is still the same, and so is the setting. well, mostly. we only tweaked a couple of things, like changing the time from night to day, the way in which protag's father informs her he wont be home in time, how the title sequencing will work. we'll get into all of that little by little today. first off, title sequencing now, i know i JUST mentioned this, but i do feel this is one of the bigger changes. at first, we had planned to have the p...
